Rapid on the Penobscot River in Maine. Penobscot is an indian name meaning
Land of the Descending Rocks which is a good description for the river. Off
in the distance is Katahdin which the river passes and is 4 miles away at
it's closest and you can actually see rapids from the summit even with over
