I made this image on a 16 Day scallop
fishing trip I went on 100 miles off the coast of New York and New Jersey
on the boat Alpha and Omega II. After 16 days at sea a storm whipped up the
waves to over 20 feet high, so we headed home to the harbor in New Bedford
MA. It was a personal journey to document scallop fishing at the time and
to try and connect with my ancestors. Image was a 15 second time exposure
shot with a Nikon F3 and Ektachrome 100 film.
