This was my first backpacking trip into the Great Gulf Wilderness in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the winter. This view is near the summit of Mt. Madison, and it was a full day up and back the Buttress Trail back to camp off the Great Gulf Wilderness Trail. The wind was really howling on top and it felt like we were flying. Image made in January with a Nikon F3 and Ektachrome 100 film.
