View of Bristlecone Pine trunk in Winter on the flank of Wheeler Peak in Great Basin National Park in Nevada. The severe weather in this place takes it's toll on the trees, and even though about 500 feet lower in elevation there was about 9 feet of snow, it is much thinner at this place. In this grove are some of the oldest trees living on the face of the Earth. Image made in March on a Hasselblad and Ektachrome 100 film.
