Nankoweap Canyon is located just
after mile 53 on the river. It's a very popular camping spot for river trips.
The Anasazi people grew crops here and stored food in the granaries 500 feet
above theColorado river at the base of a cliff. This image was taken late
in the afternoon looking down river and made with a Hasselblad camera on Ektachrome
100 film.
