Granite Rapid is located about river
mile 92.5 at Monument Creek and is some 5 miles below Phantom Ranch. Monument
Creek has been carving the Vishnu Shist which is some of the oldest rocks
exposed on Earth for millions of years. Image taken Late in the afternoon
