Windy Ridge is located on the flank
of Mount Bross in Colorado near Alma. On the east side is a grove of Bristlecone
Pines that are said to be up to a 1000 years old . This weathered tree trunk
shows how the prevailing winds affect the trees at times eroding much of the
bark from the tree. They grow under very harsh conditions very slowly into
magnificent trees. Image taken in July with a Hasselblad camera and Ektachrome
